Higher Heights Community Church will be having the Grand Opening events for The Jack L. Scott Outreach Center on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 11:00AM and we would like for you to be a part of this special day.
The opening day will be a day of celebration. There will be a short ceremony followed by food, fun, and of course, a tour of the center. This event is open to the community.
The construction for the Outreach Center is really coming along. It will house our already up and running, clothes and food closet, as well as the HHCC Teen Center.
The food and clothes closet is open every Thursday, from 10A-12P. We offer clothes, food, and resource information as it applies to the needs of our friends who have fallen on hard times. Currently, there are no requirements to receive needed items. This service is available to everyone.
The Teen Center will be a safe-haven for youth to come and receive encouragement, resource information, as well as participation in seminars and summits. We want to let them know that we recognize that their problems are real and encourage them to use their voices as they are heard in this safe and healthy environment. Additionally, we will have computers and a learning center with library. Not to mention all the fun things that youth enjoy like basketball, pool, air hockey, football, board games, video games, and more.
There is so much work still to do in order to be ready to open on June 5th, and you can play a part. For the next 6 weeks we will be doing construction and preparing for the opening. We are still in need of the following for the opening:
We are currently running an "Outreach Project" campaign through May 28, 2021. All donations received toward this project will be used solely for the purpose of advancing the outreach center. To make a donation, click here.
